Glory Hunter is a challenge that was created by youtuber Doctor Benjy on FM20 and due to its huge popularity he has brought it back again for FM22.
For those of you not familiar with it you have 20 years to win the following:
Premier League and FA Cup
La Liga and Copa Del Rey
Serie A and Coppa Italia
Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal
Ligue Un and Coupe De France
Champions League and Europa League
🌎World Cup and European Championship
The beauty of this challenge is that you can make it as easy or as difficult as you like. You could start off with a dominant force such as Bayern or PSG, you may want to tick the Europa League off in your first season by starting with a favourite for that competition like Napoli or you could even opt for a club that aren’t even in Europe. There are sides like Arsenal who have fallen from where they used to be or you could look to build a new force with someone like Newcastle now that they have an abundant amount of money to spend.
For me its not about how easy or difficult someone makes it, there is no extra credit for completing it with lesser sides than someone else, its about making the save enjoyable for yourself. Personally I don’t like taking over a side where I don’t need to change anything which rules out starting at one of Europe’s elite. I like to do a bit of building and make the squad my own. You have on average 4 years per country so I need to get the balance right between building and having the time to achieve the task in hand.
There are so many teams to chose from but I’ve opted to go for a team I’ve never managed before and one that I’ve not seen anyone start their Glory Hunter challenge with. Its off to Germany I go and 2002 Champions League finalists Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

The posts for this series will take an ad hoc format so rather than my usual season reviews, I’ll be doing shorter more frequent updates which will vary in timeframes depending on how much I have to tell you about.
Thanks for reading,
The Last Throw.
